This is Pier at Fort Belvoir, a signed limited edition print by Virginia artist David Knowlton III, numbered 91 of 600. Knowlton was born in North Hollywood in 1941 and spent his career developing a highly technical style in color, dry brush and tempera. Based in Cross Junction, Virginia, he exhibited coast to coast from 1975 onward, and his waterscapes and landscapes are characterized by tranquil, luminous realism. The print is presented in its original wood frame with gold inner mat, under glass, with a period artist biography card included.
